WIC
Breckinridge County Health Department offers WIC benefits to those who are eligible. WIC is a Special Supplemental Food Program that provides nutrition counseling and education, supplemental foods, breastfeeding promotion and support, as well as referrals to health care. This program is specifically designed for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to age five.
Immunizations
We provide vaccines to prevent communicable diseases such as: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio, Chickenpox, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Pertussis, Mumps, Rubella, Measles, Prevnar, Menactra, Meningitis. We also offer a flu shot clinic every year.

Screening for PK, Galactosemia, Fatty Acid Oxidation, Cystic Fibrosis, Amino Acid, Organic Acid Disorders, and Hypothyroidism for newborns not screened at the hospital and breastfed babies.

- Eligibility - Pregnant women, breastfeeding women, women who have a baby less than six months old, infants and children up to five years old. Recipients must live in Breckinridge County, are at nutritional risk, and meet our liberal income requirements.
